Bellagio is at 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, on the west side of the boulevard at the Flamingo Road intersection. It is one of the most recognized hotels on the Strip and, by the standards of what you find inside, one of the more expensive places to eat near it. The on-property dining at Bellagio is excellent and prices accordingly. Guests who want a great meal at a fraction of the price can get to Showcase Mall, about 0.7 miles south, either on foot or by a short ride share. This guide is honest about the distance: Bellagio guests are not a two-minute walk from Rock N' Potato. Getting there is a deliberate choice, and this page tells you what that choice looks like and whether it is worth making.
Dining inside the Bellagio
Bellagio's restaurant lineup is built around destination dining. Le Cirque is the fine dining flagship, a New York institution transplanted to the casino floor with prices that match. Picasso is the other flagship, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant with a prix fixe structure and a check to go with it. Fix is the more approachable option, a contemporary American bar and grill that is expensive by most standards but considerably less expensive than the flagships. These are all good restaurants. None of them are casual or cheap.
For guests who are not interested in a $200 dinner and want something filling and different, the route south covers it. The tradeoff is clear: you are spending 15 to 18 minutes walking or a few minutes in a ride share to get to a menu that starts at $10.95. Whether that math makes sense depends on the night and what you want from it.
Distance and getting there: walk or ride
Showcase Mall is approximately 0.7 miles south of Bellagio on Las Vegas Boulevard. The walking route is a direct trip south on the boulevard, passing Caesars Palace on your right around 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, then Paris Las Vegas on your left at 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd. These are two of the most active blocks on the Strip, so the walk is not dull, but it is a real walk. Plan on 15 to 18 minutes at a comfortable pace. The route is flat, well lit, and covered in foot traffic most of the evening.
After you pass Paris, continue south past Bally's and the Horseshoe at 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd. Keep heading south and you will reach the MGM Grand area. New York-New York sits at 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, and Showcase Mall is directly across the boulevard from New York-New York at 3785 S Las Vegas Blvd. Enter the mall, take the escalator or stairs to the second floor, and Rock N' Potato is at Suite 207.
If you would rather skip the walk, a short ride share from Bellagio to Showcase Mall takes roughly five minutes. Ride share pickup from Bellagio is on the east side of the property. The Showcase Mall rideshare area is on the ground level of the mall for the return trip.
Rock N' Potato at Showcase Mall
Rock N' Potato is counter service on the second floor of Showcase Mall, Suite 207. The menu is loaded baked potatoes and birria. Most items fall between $10.95 and $16.95. A full meal for two people at Rock N' Potato is typically what a single starter costs at Bellagio's flagship restaurants. That is the value proposition, plainly stated.
The Birria King ($16.95) is a loaded baked potato with braised birria beef, enough food that most people do not need to order anything alongside it. The Original Groupie ($10.95) is the classic loaded potato with butter, sour cream, cheddar, and chives, and it is among the better values on the Strip at this price. The Fleetwood Mac ($20.95) and the Fleetwood MacDaddy ($35.95) are the premium tier builds for guests who want the full experience. The Dirty Motley ($15.95) and Chuck Berry Fried Chicken ($15.95) handle the fried chicken builds. The Birria Tacos ($10.95) and the Lobster Roll ($16.95) round out the main options beyond the potatoes. Birria Fries ($14.95) are the standard shared plate with the consomme dip, and Cheese Fries ($8.95) are the lowest entry on the menu.
Wings ($10.95) and Chilaquiles Birria ($12.95) are the lighter items. The Fruity Pebbles Cheesecake ($8.95) is the dessert. The Birria Smashburger ($15.95) is the burger option for guests who want that instead.
Rock N' Potato is rated 4.8 on Google, 4.9 on TripAdvisor across 503 reviews, and Yelp Top 100 number 23 nationally for 2026. Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 11:30pm, and Friday through Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00am. Counter service means no reservation, no wait for a table, and no minimum.
Getting back to the Bellagio
If you walked down, the return is the same route north on Las Vegas Boulevard. The stretch from Showcase Mall back to Bellagio passes the same landmarks: New York-New York, MGM Grand, the Horseshoe and Bally's block, Paris, and Caesars before you reach Bellagio on the left. If you want to ride back, the Showcase Mall rideshare pickup is on the ground level. A short Uber or Lyft from Showcase Mall returns you to the Bellagio drop-off area near the main entrance in a few minutes. The Bellagio's Flamingo Road entrance is useful if you are returning from the south side of the property.
