The Cosmopolitan is at 3708 S Las Vegas Blvd, adjacent to Bellagio on the east side of the boulevard. It is one of the better food hotels on the Strip, which makes this a different kind of guide than most. The honest starting point is that the Cosmopolitan's own dining options are genuinely worth knowing. That said, if you are staying there on a budget, or if you want something that the Cosmopolitan's kitchen does not do, there is a walkable option about 10 to 12 minutes south. This guide covers both sides of that question without pretending one cancels out the other.
Food options inside The Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan has one of the more varied restaurant lineups on the Strip. Secret Pizza, on the third floor of the hotel, is a Las Vegas institution: a bare-bones pizza counter open until 4:00am that gets crowded for a reason. If you are staying at the Cosmopolitan and nothing else on this page applies to your situation, Secret Pizza is still there for you after 2:00am when almost nothing else is. Eggslut is the counter-service breakfast and sandwich option with a following that stretches well past hotel guests. Momofuku is the David Chang restaurant on property, handling the more ambitious sit-down need with a higher check average to match.
These are all legitimately good. The Cosmopolitan is not a hotel where the food is an afterthought. But the price points inside reflect the address. A Momofuku dinner or a Eggslut breakfast for two with drinks is not a cheap meal. Guests who want a filling, affordable dinner without a long casino meal bill tend to look outside.
The walk south to Showcase Mall: 10 to 12 minutes
From The Cosmopolitan's Las Vegas Boulevard entrance, head south. The walk takes you through a busy and well-lit section of the Strip. You will pass Park MGM at around 3770 S Las Vegas Blvd and then New York-New York at 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, two large adjacent properties that mark the last major block before your destination.
Once you pass New York-New York, look to your right. Showcase Mall is at 3785 S Las Vegas Blvd on the west side of the boulevard, directly across from New York-New York. Enter the mall and take the escalator or stairs to the second floor. Rock N' Potato is at Suite 207. The walk from The Cosmopolitan to the counter takes 10 to 12 minutes at an easy pace. If you would rather skip the walk, a short ride share covers it in a couple of minutes.
Rock N' Potato at Showcase Mall
Rock N' Potato is counter service, second floor, Suite 207. The menu is loaded baked potatoes and birria, starting at $10.95 and topping out at $35.95 for the Fleetwood MacDaddy. For Cosmopolitan guests who want a full meal without a sit-down price tag, most of what you need is in the $10 to $17 range.
The Birria King ($16.95) is the loaded potato with braised birria beef, one item that functions as a complete meal. The Original Groupie ($10.95) is the straightforward version: butter, sour cream, cheddar, and chives, and one of the better value propositions at this price point on the Strip. The Dirty Motley ($15.95) and Chuck Berry Fried Chicken ($15.95) are the fried chicken builds. Birria Tacos ($10.95) are the compact option if you want something lighter. The Lobster Roll ($16.95) is the menu item that surprises some first-time visitors. Birria Fries ($14.95) are the go-to shared plate with the consomme dip alongside, and Cheese Fries ($8.95) are the lowest entry point on the menu.
Wings ($10.95) and Chilaquiles Birria ($12.95) handle the smaller-format end. The Fruity Pebbles Cheesecake ($8.95) is the dessert. The Fleetwood Mac ($20.95) and Fleetwood MacDaddy ($35.95) are for the guests who want to do the full build.
Rock N' Potato is rated 4.8 on Google, 4.9 on TripAdvisor across 503 reviews, and Yelp Top 100 number 23 nationally for 2026. Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 11:30pm, and Friday through Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00am. Counter service means no wait for a table and no reservation to make before you walk out the door.
Getting back to The Cosmopolitan
The return walk is north on Las Vegas Boulevard, the same route reversed. If you came down on foot and want to ride back, the Showcase Mall rideshare area is on the ground level of the mall. A short Uber or Lyft returns you to The Cosmopolitan in a couple of minutes. The Cosmopolitan's main boulevard entrance puts you back in the building and close to the elevators. If you are heading out to something else after dinner rather than back to your room, the mid-Strip location of the Cosmopolitan means most things on the boulevard are walkable from Showcase Mall in either direction.
