Encore at Wynn Las Vegas sits at 3131 S Las Vegas Blvd, the northern end of the core Strip corridor, sharing a campus with its sister tower next door. Forbes Five-Star rated and consistently reviewed as one of the more polished resort experiences in Las Vegas, Encore does not cut corners on its food. Society Cafe handles breakfast and brunch. Sinatra is the Italian room with a Dean Martin sensibility. Wing Lei is Michelin-starred Chinese fine dining. These are genuinely good restaurants, and the price reflects that. For Encore guests who want a second option, something at a different register entirely, a counter-service plate that competes on the food rather than the zip code, the answer is a short rideshare south on the boulevard to Showcase Mall.
Dining inside Encore at Wynn Las Vegas
Encore's on-property dining lineup is compact but intentional. Society Cafe is the morning anchor: an upscale American breakfast and brunch room that draws guests from both the Encore and Wynn sides of the campus. Sinatra carries a formal Italian dinner format anchored in Dean Martin nostalgia, white tablecloth service included. Wing Lei is the outlier in the best sense: a Michelin-starred Chinese dining room that regularly appears in lists of the best Chinese restaurants in Las Vegas, period, not just among casino properties.
None of these options is a quick or cheap meal, and none of them is designed to be. If you are leaving XS Nightclub at midnight on a Saturday and want something serious to eat before the night closes, the on-property kitchen options will not be your first call. That gap is where Rock N Potato makes sense for Encore guests.
Distance and getting there from Encore
Showcase Mall is approximately 0.8 miles south of Encore on Las Vegas Boulevard, at 3785 S Las Vegas Blvd. That distance is technically walkable, but Las Vegas in the summer makes a 0.8-mile Strip walk a different proposition than it sounds. The heat, the foot traffic, and the reality that most Encore guests have plans that do not benefit from arriving damp all point to the same answer: rideshare. A Lyft or Uber from Encore south to Showcase Mall typically runs 4 to 6 minutes, and the fare is $10 to $14 depending on demand and time of night. From this part of the Strip, rideshare is standard transit, not an exception.
For guests who do choose to walk: exit Encore onto Las Vegas Boulevard and head south. You will pass Wynn's south entrance, then cross Fashion Show Drive, then continue past the Fashion Show mall on your left. The Venetian and the Palazzo tower come into view on the left side as you move into the central Strip. Continue south past Harrah's, then the LINQ, then past Bally's and Paris Las Vegas, and Showcase Mall appears on the right at the corner of Harmon Avenue. Rock N Potato is inside on the second-floor food court level, Suite 207. The walk runs 15 to 20 minutes at a steady pace, and it is a one-way commitment in mid-day heat, so most guests use rideshare and save the Strip walk for when it is their intention, not their commute.
Once you arrive at Showcase Mall, take the escalator up to the second-floor food court. Suite 207 is straight ahead from the top of the escalator. Counter service, no reservation needed.
Rock N Potato at Showcase Mall
Rock N Potato is a counter-service restaurant built around two things: loaded Idaho baked potatoes and birria. The menu is specific and it is generous. Portions are built for hunger, not for appearance. The format, counter service with no reservation and no minimum, is the opposite of Encore's sit-down dining rooms, and that is the point. It is the plate you want after a long evening, not a curated tasting experience.
The Fleetwood MacDaddy ($35.95) is the signature: a whole lobster tail served on a loaded Idaho baked potato. For a guest who has been eating at Sinatra and Wing Lei all weekend, this is the same price band as a single appetizer at those properties, and it arrives as a full plate. The Birria King ($16.95) is braised birria beef on a baked potato with all the built-in toppings. It is a complete meal. The Birria Tacos ($10.95) are the light option. The Lobster Roll ($16.95) is the alternative for guests who want the seafood without the potato format. Wings ($10.95) and Birria Fries ($14.95, served with consomme for dipping) are the natural late-night shared plates.
The ratings tell a consistent story: 4.8 on Google, 4.9 on TripAdvisor across 503 reviews, and Yelp Top 100 number 23 nationally for 2026. Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 11:30pm, and Friday through Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00am.
Late-night hours for XS and Encore Beach Club guests
XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club are among the more well-attended nightlife venues on the Strip. XS in particular draws crowds that go late, and late in Las Vegas means guests leaving with real appetite at 12:30am or 1:00am on a Friday or Saturday. The on-property kitchen options at that hour narrow down significantly. Rock N Potato's Friday and Sunday hours run to 1:00am, and Saturday to 1:00am as well, meaning a guest leaving XS at midnight has a 4-to-6-minute rideshare to a full menu. The Birria King, the Fleetwood MacDaddy, the Wings, the Birria Fries: the full menu is available until close. For guests who have been up since the afternoon and skipped dinner in favor of the club, this is not a consolation meal. It is the plan.
The same logic applies to Encore Beach Club pool parties, which run through the afternoon into evening. A pool-to-dinner window that would have meant waiting for a table at a busy Strip restaurant on a Saturday night is a short rideshare to counter service instead.
Encore and Wynn guests: both properties covered
Encore and Wynn share a campus and most guests move between the two properties freely during a stay. If you are staying at one and spending time at the other, both towers use the same rideshare pickup areas. Rock N Potato is the same short trip from either address. We also cover the Wynn side of the campus in a separate post: see our guide to food near Wynn Las Vegas if you want the full picture for both towers.
Getting back to Encore
The return to Encore from Showcase Mall is the same short ride north on the boulevard. The Showcase Mall rideshare pickup area is on the ground level of the mall; the app will guide you to the current spot. A Lyft or Uber north on Las Vegas Boulevard returns you to the Encore entrance in about 4 to 6 minutes. The Encore drop-off is at the resort's main porte-cochere; confirm with the app which entrance is designated for the current pickup flow.
